UPDATE 5/29/26: With the wonderful support from this fundraiser, we were able to limp our way through May. Our focus now is on making rent for June and continued expenses throughout that month. Delena has searched exhaustively for employment and still has no job offers. We are still working to meet her financial needs for May and June. On Friday, she spent many hours in the Mercy San Juan Emergency Department receiving treatment for an unexpected kidney stone. She was in great pain and violently ill from this. She has not yet passed the stone and is on medication and struggling to keep meds, fluids, and food down until the stone passes. She had excellent care from the ED staff and our hope is that she will soon pass the stone and heal faster. As you can see, it has been a challenging time for my girl and we both deeply appreciate the support we have received. ~~Katrina
Supporting a Pillar of Our Community: The Delena Rasbold Artisan Exchange
Delena Rasbold has spent her life woven into the fabric of the Sacramento Pagan and Queer communities. Many of you know her from the years she spent behind the counter at the Crossroads Occult booth at Sacramento Pagan Pride and PanGaia, or perhaps you sat in one of the art and crafting classes she taught at Crossroads Metaphysical Store before its 2022 closure.
Delena is a strong woman of formidable skill and intellect. With degrees in Fine Arts and Social Sciences, she is a master of both the creative and the analytical—certified in QuickBooks and proficient in the digital architecture of the modern office. But she navigates this world with the unique perspective of Autism and ADHD. For years, she managed her neurodiverse challenges to excel in the traditional workforce, but 2024 and 2025 brought a series of “perfect storm” events that would test even the strongest spirit.
The Storm: In 2024, Delena faced a sudden and heartbreaking end to an eight-year partnership. This abrupt transition left her financially disadvantaged and forced an immediate move into a smaller apartment—carrying the weight of relocation and storage costs entirely alone. In May 2025, the corporate world shifted again; her bookkeeping position was eliminated in a wave of layoffs. Since then, she has aggressively pursued work through agencies and direct applications, but in a flooded labor market, the doors have remained frustratingly closed.
Through the depletion of her retirement funds, the exhaustion of unemployment benefits, and the recent loss of her 19-year-old kitty companion & familiar, Mimi, Delena has fought to stay standing.
The Exchange: This is not a plea for a handout; it is a call to communal magic. Delena is a professional artist, a trained seamstress, and a skilled novelist. To secure her housing for May—covering rent, utilities, and essential care—she is offering the fruits of her labor alongside the spiritual services of her mother, author and teacher Katrina Rasbold.
